DeFuniak Springs is the little town with FUN in the middle!

DeFuniak Springs is situated in Walton County on the Florida Panhandle, 45 miles northeast of Destin and 55 miles northwest of Panama City Beach. This lively city boasts an assortment of fine dining establishments, quaint shops, and captivating attractions within its Historic Downtown District. Notably, the town is distinguished by its remarkable lake. Lake DeFuniak stands out as one of only two globally recognized spring-fed lakes with an almost perfect circular shape. A leisurely stroll or drive along Circle Drive, skirting the lake’s perimeter, is among the favored activities. Surrounding Lake DeFuniak are nearly 200 historic residences and structures, with approximately 40 of them listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Many of these architectural treasures have roots dating back to the flourishing days of the Chautauqua Institution, which thrived in the area until the late 1920s.
