This main floor suite is a historical punctuation as the residence of Governor Johnston T. Catts and his wife Alice. Located on the first floor, the Govenor’s Suite is has 2 bedrooms and sleeps up to 4- featuring both a king-size bed and antique queen bed. There is a separate sitting room with double access to the ADA ensuite bathroom. The ensuite has a walk-in shower and claw foot bathtub at the bay window. The suite also has the original brick chimney and is decorated luxuriously with paneled wainscoting, burgundy feathered damask wallpaper, and toile wallpaper. $348
L & N Suite

Our L & N Suite (Louisiana Nashville Railroad), salutes a big part of life in the 1800’s as the main mode of transportation. This room, located on the second floor, sleeps 4 guests comfortably, making it an excellent lodging for a friends’ or family getaway. It features a king-size bed and two antique Louis Philippe walnut alcove 3/4 twin beds (1830’s) in a separate room with pass-through doors to the bathroom. The suite also has its own porch access, sitting area, and large wood fireplace mantle. The suite features greige color palettes of rich tan, brown, olive & gold and antique furniture in addition to paneled wainscoting. $249
Chautauqua Suite

The suite is reminiscent of the original Chautauqua movement of its sister retreat town in Chautauqua, New York. Our largest room in Sunbright Inn is located on the third floor and outfitted in beautiful navy, gold, and ivory with paneled wainscoting. The suite sleeps 4 adults comfortably with a king-size bed and a queen-size bed in separate rooms. This third-floor suite also has two of the inn’s four beautiful signature 60” Chautauqua windows that are glass squares with four cross-directional glazed lobes. The Chautauqua Suite includes a sitting area and two wood mantles. $348

Our Magnolia room, located on the first floor, hints to the glorious history of this gorgeous flowering grove that populated the terrain, now Highway 331, to the south and east of the house. This room sleeps 2 guests comfortably in the distressed wood king-size Rococo bed. Magnolia features a beautiful pink theme with light pink curtains and floral Rococo wallpaper. There is a small sitting area by the original fireplace mantle and an ensuite bathroom featuring a copious walk-in shower. $197
Loblolly

Our Loblolly room, located on the first floor, nods to the rich dominant history of pine resin harvesting, turpentine distilling, and logging here in northwest Florida between the late 1800’s and 1920’s. This room sleeps 2 guests comfortably with a king-size bed, large era fireplace mantle, and ensuite bathroom with glass walk-in shower. The Loblolly has a beautiful nature theme with green and gold damask wallpaper, paneled wainscoting, luxurious beige curtains, and cranberry & gold highlights. $197

Sunbright’s Queen Anne room, located on the second floor, is our curtsy to the classic styles found in a Queen Anne style house. The decorative ornate frieze, Marlborough crystal wallpaper, and wood fireplace mantle will bring your emotions back to the Victorian time period. Queen Anne sleeps two comfortably with a stylish king bed, highlighting the blue, gold, and ivory color theme. It also has a spacious bathroom complete with walk-in shower. Walton

The Walton is named after Colonel George Walton Jr., for whom Walton County is named, and who was the son of George Walton who signed the Declaration of Independence. This room, located on the second floor, is a tribute to history with an unusual ensemble of black, silver, and white and complementing paneled wainscoting. A relaxing room for two occupants, the Walton has a king-size bed, small sitting area, large fireplace mantle, and south-facing porch access. The sizable bathroom features a claw foot tub and capacious walk-in glass shower accented by the iconic gable window. $249
The Library

The Library room honors the DeFuniak Library, the oldest working library in the state, located just a short walk from the Inn. This guest room, located on the third floor, features Chinoiserie Eglantine wallpaper complimented with teal and cream furniture, elegant eggplant curtains, and a turret sitting/reading room. It provides one of the best views from the Inn. The main bedroom has a king size bed and a beautiful wood fireplace mantle. The sitting room has a large couch, open-room claw foot tub, second fireplace mantle, antique books, and one of the four iconic 60” Chautauqua windows.
