Every Saturday mid-March through November, Main Street Farmer’s Market
Visitors are encouraged to wander the streets and explore local farm stands, food vendors, crafts, and gift items starting from Saturday, March 18, 2023, until Saturday, November 18, 2023, at the weekly Farmer’s Market on Main Street DeFuniak Springs, running from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Learn more at: mainstreetdfs.org
March 14-17 | Florida Chautauqua Assembly
In 1993, residents of DeFuniak Springs, Florida established the Florida Chautauqua Association with the aim of reviving the original assemblies held in the area from 1885 to 1928. The campus grounds, which were initially opened in 1885, were established by leaders of the New York Chautauqua seeking a location in a warmer climate for winter assemblies. Present-day organizers oversee modern assemblies as a four-day educational program tailored for families – a favorite DeFuniak Springs Spring Events weekend. These assemblies feature renowned keynote speakers, educational breakout sessions, performance teas, evening dinner performances, and exhibits centered around an annual theme. March 22-23, 2024 Westwood Ranch Annual Pro Rodeo
Located at the Freeport Regional Sports Complex in Freeport (25 minutes from Sunbright Inn). The event will feature the Professional Cowboy Association performing bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, team roping, bull riding, and more. You’re welcome to join us for an enjoyable day outdoors! We’ll have approximately 50-60 vendors offering arts and crafts, catering to all your shopping desires. Annually, during the final weekend of April, the South Walton Beaches Wine & Food Festival unites vintners, culinary experts, distillers, brewers, and local eateries for an enriching weekend of wine sampling, educational sessions, and amusement.
